The rooms were reasonably large and fabulous, with multi-channel television, a seating area, and a study table, exceptionally comfortable bed. The staff was pretty friendly with local information.

The staff was very good and welcoming, they made our trip! We had a comfort queen room, which was absolutely fabulous and comfy. Location: the hotel was just next door to Pierrefitte-Nestalas, the Pyrenees and the Valley...

The staff were fairly friendly. the location was easy, opposite the old railway station in Pierrefitte-Nestalas. - the venue was just next door to the center of town, the Pyrenees, and the mountains. - We enjoyed being in this property.

We booked a small/double but were given a large doble with a king size bed, excellent value for money.

Very nice hotel in quiet surroundings. Good for cycling trips to nearby Cols such as Col du Tourmalet and Col d'Aubisque. Friendly staff, basement can be used to park bicycles.
During my stay in July 2011 the hotel was very quiet and their were few other guests. Rooms are very clean but noise of neighbors (children) can be clearly heard. Restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent but was open only one night during my 4 nights stay. Nearby restaurants are 5-6 kilometers away in the next village.

The food at the restaurant was amazing for dinner. I enjoyed some really delicious dishes. They had all the basics like central heating, a work desk, and a TV, but what I really liked was that they also had 📺.

Very well placed, nice old building with all the modern confort
The hotel has the most incompetent stuff i have ever seen: we left the key at the reception in the morning and when we came back (19.30) the hotel was closed and the reception lady was sleeping like a log in one of the rooms. I had to call the owner who called her employee on her cell phone to open!!!! Not a first with this hotel but a second time.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, it is an old building from around 1900 but nicely renovated. The rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast is also OK. We were there for cycling in the pyrenees, and it is a perfect location from where you can start many climbs, like the Toumalet, Gavarnie, Luz-Ardiden, or the Aubisque, directly in front of the hotel.
The personnel is a bit chaotic and they only speak French. After a while there was also somebody who mastered English and Spanish, which made the situation a lot better. Unfortunately, she was not there all the time. I must say, though, that they overcame all the difficulties finally, we cannot complain.

We had a fantastic experience at a beautiful hotel in the Pyrenees. The hotel had a charming "turn-of-the-century" ambience with antique furniture and a grand wooden staircase. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with lovely French doors opening to a peaceful street. The hotel even had a storage area for our bikes, which was essential for our cycling group. We enjoyed gathering in the cozy sitting room to watch the Tour de France coverage. One evening, we had a delightful post-ride party with wine and cheese in front of the hotel. The hotel restaurant served a good and satisfying dinner, perfect for hungry cyclists. Despite a minor issue with the room ceiling soundproofing and a bit of a smell in the closet , we highly recommend this hotel for exploring the beautiful Pyrenees. I would definitely recommend this hotel for its charming atmosphere and convenient amenities.

smart hotel with a touch of the Fawlty Towers -waited ages in reception on arrival -girl arrived pleasant enough but on another planet- when we checked out the next day she could n't remember she had served us at the hotel's grill the previous night & just made up a charge!Nevertheless clean place with good grill & al fresco dining. Located at the gateway to the Pyrenees- a drive to pont d'espagne very worthwhile.
service (understaffed)

I liked the older elegance of the building which had 1903 included in the name on the side of the hotel. My bathroom however, was modern and seemed new.The whole of the hotel was well looked after. The hotel is located about 400 metres from the town centre across the road from a now derelict railway station so presumeably in its day this hotel was built to serve the railway. If you have a car then the hotel is nicely situated for access to many mountain entrance points.
The air conditioning in the bedroom could have been more efficient. When too few guests were staying the hotel did not provide an evening meal.

The hotel offers excellent value for money, with prices that are very affordable for France. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, perfect for a couple or a family. The location is ideal for visiting the emblematic areas of the Pyrenees, such as Gavarnie, Barèges, and Cauterets. It is also conveniently close to Argelès-Gazost, where all necessary services are available. The breakfast buffet is one of the best, with a wide variety and high quality of options.
Everything was satisfactory and there was nothing that needs improvement.

Good location, nice vintage building, comfortable room, bathroom was ok.
Staff is not up to the hotel standing (beautiful old building), flour cleaning was not adequate in the rooms and there was no soap in the bathroom (i had to ask for it) our entrance door was squeaking...

It is a charmingbuilding and it sends all the right mesages. The rooms are clean and well equipped. It is a shame that the building is not fully exploited.
The hotel is understaffed. Two young people do everything and they cannot cope especially as the restaurant is acrossa court yard and detached from the main building. The result is that reception and the bar are not manned. The food is ordinary but cheap. The breakfast however is overpriced at 8 euros and woefully inadequate. The brochure speaks of 'drinks around the fountain'. The fountain was not operating and even if it was the patio furniture was stacked in a corner This hotel should be outstanding but, sadly, it is not.

Great value for money, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location in the beautiful mountain town was perfect. The staff treated us with utmost kindness and were always willing to help.
The morning meal could have been better with a wider variety of options.
